Neuschwanstein Castle

Neuschwanstein Castle

Neuschwanstein is an impressive castle that has already inspired lots of Minecraft architects. Totacky and Varoxy wanted to go one step further. They set themselves the task to recreate the castle and its surroundings as close to reality as possible.

Since its release the map has been serving as a new spawn world on the Pixelbiester Minecraft server. If you want to explore it at close range, feel free to join our server.

In spite of the immense size of 2000 x 2000 blocks, quality was most important to the builders. The whole building process lasted more than four months, the active building time being about 400 hours. Everything was created with attention to detail.

On the map you will find a one-to-one replica of the castle with its courtyard. All the other elements are authentic as well. On the mountain base there are, like in reality, a parking lot, a viewing platform, a ticket center, and a souvenir shop. A little road leads from the village with hotel and restaurant up to the castle. Even the original plaster mill situated near river Pöllat is to be seen.

In front of the castle a big cultivated scenery has been created. It consists of little woods, meadows with hay bales, and canola fields in the midst of which you find a one-to-one version of the beautiful Church St. Coloman.

Behind the castle, we have a big mountain that is overgrown by a fir forest. In the background, there is a reproduction of the Marienbrücke, a lovely bridge from which you can glance at Castle Neuschwanstein. Just like in the real world.
